swoosh swoosh swoosh

That's what an 11 week (in utero) baby's heartbeat sounds like. And we heard it today.

Yes, this is an official announcement. The baby should arrive sometime the first part of February. Yay!

Thanks all. I've actually been feeling okay. I don't get too sick when I'm pregnant, for which I am immensely grateful. I've not thrown up at all, and as long as I don't go too long between meals/snacks, I can keep the nausea/wooziness away. My midwife tested my hemoglobin, though, and I am a bit anemic, so I'm going to increase my iron and hopefully I'll have a bit more energy. I've been doing okay as long as I take a nap every day. Thanks for asking. :o)

I CAN'T WAIT! Tell the baby hi for me. I hope you are doing well. I'm sad I'll miss this pregnecy... it only means I miss out on being your slave when you are over. Oh darn. ;D It makes me realize that I'll hear about the birth before I'll see the baby. It's weird that I live away from home... well sometimes. I love you mindy. you are wonderful!

thanks all! Drea, I can see why you might not have expected it. This baby was very planned (though I planned to conceive this month and not two months ago, but I'm happy about it. It took me a long time to feel like the time was right for #3, though.

I hope you know how I feel about this even though it's taken me far too long to comment. Number three must be a big step for people because I've heard many say that they thought long and hard about it. I guess by number three you know more about what you're getting into and the work involved. But you have two great children, much of that due to your skills as a mom (and of course David's skills as a dad). This is a lucky little baby!
