"there are two kinds of people in this world...

...those who like Neil Diamond, and those who don't."

Happy 67th Birthday, Neil! (And no, I don't ALWAYS know when his birthday is. I happened to see it in the paper, so I might as well blog about it, right? I mean, the point of a blog is to share random, generally meaningless insights into your life, afterall.)

I have been busy the past week. On Saturday I went to training for instruction on how to run a "Liberty Girls" club. I think it will be a fun thing for Noodle and the other girls, but it is requiring quite a lot of planning right now.

I saw this in the paper today and thought it was a pretty cool story, but only since the little cat made it through the ordeal okay:

I didn't know we had love of ND in common! Did I? The only reason I love him is I have memories of my dad always singing his songs. What's your excuse?
ha! We could have really annoyed our roomates jammin to some of his music. Would've been fun!

I didn't know that, either1 Cool! I don't know why I like him, exactly. I remember that the song "America" always gave me chills and made me feel all grateful to be American & such as a kid. Some of my favorite ND songs are "Forever in Blue Jeans" and "Shilo". I know there are more, but those are the two that come to mind.

Somebody in our family thought the song was "Reverend Bluejeans," but I won't name his name...
