is it friday yet?

David started his sales job this week and we decided to have him do the 1-9:30 p.m. shift for now. And I miss him. A lot. (And I don't like cooking dinner. Yeah, I know, poor me.) But mostly I just miss enjoying his company. I'm trying really hard to be a "trooper" about it all, though. It won't last forever and we certainly do need the money. Working this shift allows him some time in the mornings to work on other commitments, which is good, and he does get to join us for our morning devotionals and read to the kids in the morning. So there are trade-offs. I know he's had a frustrating shift today, though, and I wish I could do something to make it better. He did have two sales yesterday, though, which is good.

He's had two sales already?! Unbelievable! I don't doubt that you miss him. I suppose that's one nice thing about being without work--you get to see your honey more. You're right, the late shift won't last forever. You're doing a great job!

Ah, true love. It's cute to hear that you miss him already and it's only been a few days. Seriously.

Actually, I'm impressed that you weren't sick of having him around the house. When Kent worked at home for several months, it drove us both crazy! I've always known you and David were ga-ga over each other!

Thanks Debra. But this night working means it's even harder to find times to walk with you. Wah.

Aw, Minnow, that was sweet. Seriously. I think I take him for granted too often, but I am sure glad to have him.

Mary, the thing is, when he was "home" the past few months, I usually only saw him at lunchtime and maybe in passing at other times. He stayed pretty sequestered upstairs a lot of the time, working at his "office" in the bedroom. Though I think because we met and got to know each other by spending (literally) 24 hours/day together for two weeks, we have an unusually high tolerance and enjoyment level of each others' company.
