I am grateful today for my own father. I'm especially grateful that he's still around. I love him a lot and am so appreciative of the man he is.
And, I'm still madly in love with this daddy, even after nearly 9 years of marriage. My kids are pretty lucky. I hope they know it.

It's amazing how, when you're getting serious with some guy, it may be hard to picture him as a dad, and yet a photo like this is such comfort and assurance that you made the right choice. I've had this reaffirmation many times that this is how it was meant to be for me, another evidence of the hand of God in my life.
